Ms. Blais holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, obtained at the Concordia College / University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada as well as a Gerontology Certificate obtained at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. She is also a member of the Assisted Living Federation of America and has participated in several industry related committees including the Accommodation Standards Steering Committee at Mount Royal College.

Ms. Blais started her career with Statesman in 1997 and she has filled a variety of management roles including had the opportunity to fill a variety of management roles including her current capacity as COO. Ms. Blais is responsible for overseeing the operations of all the program services/amenities within the US-based communities and projects. She ensures that existing and upcoming communities and projects are structure and operated consistent with the company’s global philosophy. She coordinates, plans, implements, monitors, directs and evaluates all aspects of operations including supervision, support and coaching of the management team. She also develops and ensures that each community and project meets financial expectations, maintains high resident satisfaction, and ensures a quality and service oriented employee team. Additionally, Ms. Blais oversees plans and implements the ongoing USA portfolio management strategies and participates in examining opportunities for expansion, marketing, planning and architectural elements for new USA communities.
